Accessibility

Accessibility Statement.

Work With Charlie is built to be usable by everyone, including visitors who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology. This statement describes the standard we work to, the measures we have taken, the limitations we are aware of, and how to reach us if you encounter a barrier.

1. Our commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG 2.1 AA is the conformance level referenced by Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Section 508 Refresh in the United States.

We treat accessibility as part of the build, not an afterthought. Each new section is reviewed against the standard before it ships.

2. Measures taken

The following measures are in place across the Site:

  • Semantic HTML. Headings, landmarks (header, main, footer, nav, section), lists, and form labels are marked up so assistive technology can parse the page structure correctly.
  • Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements, including forms, links, the FAQ accordion, and the testimonials carousel, are reachable and operable with the keyboard alone.
  • Visible focus. Focus indicators are preserved (not suppressed) so keyboard users can see where they are on the page.
  • Image alternative text. Photographs and other meaningful images carry descriptive alt attributes. Purely decorative images use empty alt="" so screen readers can skip them.
  • Color contrast. Body text and primary interactive elements meet or exceed the WCAG AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against their background. The brand palette (ink, cream, bronze) is tuned for this.
  • Reduced-motion respect. Visitors with the prefers-reduced-motion setting enabled get static images instead of crossfading hero galleries and instant carousel transitions instead of sliding ones.
  • Responsive layout. The Site reflows down to a 320px viewport without horizontal scroll, supports zoom up to 200% without loss of content, and remains usable in portrait and landscape orientation.
  • Form clarity. Form fields have visible labels, descriptive placeholders, and inline error states that are also announced to screen readers via accessible names.
  • Plain language. Headings and body copy are written for readability at the level appropriate for the audience.

3. Known limitations

We are continuously improving the Site. The following are areas we know need additional work:

  • Embedded scheduling calendar. The strategy-session calendar is provided through an embedded widget from GoHighLevel, a third-party service. We do not control its markup. If the embed presents a barrier, contact us using the information in Section 5 and we will schedule with you directly by phone or email.
  • Lead-magnet PDFs. When downloadable PDFs are published, they are produced with tagged structure and reading-order metadata for screen-reader compatibility. Older PDFs we share for reference may not yet meet the standard. We will provide an alternative-format version on request.
  • Third-party content. Where we link out to NMLS Consumer Access, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, Zillow, or Priority Home Mortgage's application portal, the accessibility of those destinations is governed by their operators.

4. Compatibility

The Site is built to work with current versions of the following browsers and assistive technologies:

  • Recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge (the latest two major releases of each).
  • JAWS, NVDA, and Narrator on Windows.
  • VoiceOver on macOS and iOS.
  • TalkBack on Android.

The Site may not work as intended on browsers more than two major versions old or on assistive technology released before 2020.

5. Contact and accommodation requests

If you encounter a barrier on the Site, would like content provided in an alternative format, or would prefer to handle a strategy-session inquiry without using the on-site form or scheduling widget, contact us directly:

Priority Home Mortgage
Email: charlie@mypriorityhome.com
Phone: (248) 762-8685

We aim to respond to accessibility requests within two business days and to resolve the underlying issue within ten business days where the fix is within our control.

6. Formal complaints

If a response to an accessibility request is not satisfactory, you may also file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Information about that process is available at ada.gov/file-a-complaint.

7. Ongoing review

Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time audit. We re-test the Site against WCAG 2.1 AA when new sections ship, when major content is added, and when underlying frameworks update. This statement is reviewed at least annually.
